Event specialist Cheryl Lawson has Launched "The Event Planning Podcast"
(PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- Popular event planner Cheryl Lawson has launched a Podcast entitled "The Event Planning Podcast" now available on iTunes.com and other podcast subscription services.
The new podcast will feature regular episodes focusing on event planning industry topics such as, budget setting, site selection, food and wine paring, and other event logistics. The podcast is intended for existing planners, aspiring planners, and individuals taking on event planning tasks.
The Event Planning Podcast is designed to be an audio resource for subscribers, and also to familiarize potential clients with Cheryl's professional services. Ms. Lawson has over18 years in sales, marketing and event planning and is often contacted as an industry expert.
In 2000, Cheryl was asked to plan and coordinate contest where the winning sales people won a V.I.P trip to the Daytona 500. Sixteen lucky winners had the time of their lives including private dinners, police escorts, and infield RVs stocked with all of their favorite snacks and beverages. Cheryl chose the Daytona event to launch her own company, The Perfect Date, an event planning and marketing firm. Established long before the current online dating craze, the name "The Perfect Date" was inspired by a wine country tour through the Napa Valley.
In 2005, The Perfect Date became the official event planning company for the annual ProDance event and conference. ProDance is an international forum for professional sports dance teams, representing the NFL, NBA, CFL, AFL, and other pro sport leagues.
In addition to full convention planning for ProDance, Cheryl coordinates all of the event's presenters, professional choreographers, exhibitors and sponsors. One of the most visible changes Ms. Lawson brought to ProDance was a powerful online presence. By utilizing a brand website, online registration tools, and several social networking sites, Cheryl has helped broaden ProDance's visibility through out the world.
The Perfect Date's services include: site selection, event management, registration coordination, and all aspects of corporate, association, conferences and medical meetings.
